Welcome to LOB CITY basketball! Founded in 2012, we are currently operating out of the South Bay (primarily the San Pedro area). Initially, LOB CITY will consist of only FOUR teams (9u, 10u, 11u & 12u). As we grow and get more exposure, we anticipate adding additional teams at various age levels. LOB CITY basketball is designed for children (a.k.a. "ballers") who are seeking a challenge through good healthy competition. Our goal at LOB CITY is to develop each athlete's individual skill level and to increase their basketball acumen. It is not enough to simply tell a child what to do, but to also tell them why they should do it, and the desired result when done properly. Ultimately, LOB CITY wants to prepare young athletes to be able to compete at the high school level. Along with X's and O's, we will teach them teamwork and the several components of being a good teammate: reliability, accountability, discipline, selflessness, and sportsmanship just to name a few. LOB CITY will not only promote, but demand productive citizenship on and off the court. Basketball is a priviledge that should only be afforded to those who are meeting or exceeding the standards required in the classroom. The corner stone of success is HARD WORK. If you are not willing to put in the time and the required effort (110%), LOB CITY is not for you. LOB CITY does not tolerate half-steppin'...either "GO HARD or GO HOME"!!!

Coach Mike

(1st two workouts are free) Each child is afforded 2 workouts before they have to make a decision whether or not they want to be apart of LOB CITY. Come on out and see what we're about (check practice schedule)

LOB CITY members I need your cooperation in communication please let me know if you are not going to make it to practice. COMMON COURTESY so I can plan accordingly. Thank you

LOB CITY homework:

Every player is required to write down three strengths/attributes that they posess that helps our organization. In addition to the strengths I also need three areas of improvement/weaknesses that we need to focus on in order to become more productive players. There will be a penalty for those players that do not submit their lists on tuesday. Both players/family and coach will go over these lists together and design a plan of attack on how to go forward. It's critical for us as players to be aware of our shortcomings and play to our strengths. I want everyone to have a firm understanding on what is expected of them (coaches' point of view). I look forward to getting back to work on tuesday.
